Mental Health Walk-In Clinic

We know true wellness is much more than physical well-being. We're committed to providing solutions that address all areas of health, including mental and emotional health. The mental health-walk-in clinic at Allen Hospital provides mental health assessments on a walk-in basis – no appointment necessary.

Services

Licensed behavioral health professionals offer mental health services including:

  • Crisis counseling
  • Medication prescribing
  • Referral to other outpatient mental health services or community resources
  • Triage for emergent/critical behavioral health intervention
  • The clinic is open to individuals age 18 and over. Patients are advised to go to the Allen Hospital Emergency Department if they are needing immediate medical attention, demonstrating aggressive behavior or experiencing a crisis when the walk-in clinic is closed.
Common Symptoms to Consider

It's completely normal to feel down sometimes. But when these feelings become persistent, unmanageable or are accompanied by physical changes it may be time to talk with someone who can help.

Our team is ready to help you identify if you're struggling with anxiety, depression or another mental health condition. Symptoms of anxiety, depression and mental health conditions can include:

  • Physical changes such as nausea or muscle tension
  • Withdrawal from family or friends
  • Excessive worry or fear
  • Feeling sad, lonely, isolated
  • Confusion or problems concentrating
  • Extreme mood changes Often feeling irritable or angry
  • Changes in sleeping habits
  • Difficulty concentrating on daily tasks
  • Nervous energy or restlessness
  • Overeating or appetite loss
  • Loss of interest in things you once enjoyed
  • Having thoughts of harm to self or others
  • Progressive memory loss or confusion
  • Difficulty perceiving reality
  • Other emotional or behavioral changes
