Adolescent Medicine

Blank Children's Adolescent Medicine provides care for teens and young adults between the ages of 12 and 21 years old. The adolescent team at Blank Children's Hospital works with teens and young adults to help them begin to take responsibility for their own health by providing guidance on risk-taking behaviors.

Our providers offer preventive guidance while seeing teens for sports physicals, routine health exams, illnesses and school-related problems. We address normal changes that occur physically and emotionally during puberty as well as helping teens understand these changes and the feelings they may experience during this time. Our team also provides guidance to parents on setting limits, recognizing problem behavior and developing better communication skills with their teen.

We can provide:

• Primary care and routine exams
• Vaccinations
• Routine cancer screening
• Contraceptive management
• STI testing and treatment
• Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)
• On-site lab and radiology

Your Visit

Patients are checked in by the nurse, who checks blood pressure, heart rate, weight and height measurements. Clinic appointments are conducted by our providers.
