What is a LGBTQ clinic?
An LGBTQ clinic offers dedicated health care services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer communities in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Every member of the UnityPoint Clinic LGBTQ clinic team has had LGBTQ-specific training. This training, through One Iowa Safe Zone Training, is to make sure our clinic setting is welcoming and assuring for all our patients.
What is Safe Zone training?
All providers will undergo Safe Zone training to ensure understanding, support and trust with all LGBTQ individuals seeking health care services.
