Pulmonary Rehabilitation

What is Pulmonary Rehabilitation?
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a service designed for those who experience chronic lung problems. It includes education about your lung condition to teach you how to better manage your condition and control your symptoms (such as shortness of breath), and monitored and supervised exercise to help you safely and comfortably increase the amount of activity you can do. The program helps individuals reach and maintain their maximal level of independence and functioning.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services
An important part of pulmonary rehabilitation is monitored and supervised exercises to help you strengthen your lungs through physical activities that you can safely perform. Exercise can range from stretching, biking, walking and/or strength training. Our care team provides real-time feedback to help you improve your breathing while exercising and building strength. In addition, our team of respiratory therapists, nurses and exercise physiologists use their expertise and years of experience to help you learn to manage your disease.
