Estate Gift Helps Surpass $10 Million in Nursing Education Endowments

Jane Wyatt dedicated 47 years at UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Jane entered the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing. Her career began as a floor nurse and eventually she became a shift supervisor. She was involved in opening Iowa Methodist’s neighborhood clinic on Merle Hay Road, worked as a marketing representative in Iowa Methodist’s Corporate Health Services, and closed her career as Director of Occupational Medicine in West Des Moines.

Jane’s support of the nursing education endowment helped the UnityPoint Health – Des Moines Foundation surpass $10 million in nursing education endowments. This means each year more than $500,000 will be available to support advanced education, certification and nursing innovation for care at the bedside.
