UnityPoint Health Hospitals Recognized as Top 100 Critical Access and Rural Community Hospitals

Six UnityPoint Health affiliated hospitals are among the Chartis 2024 Top 100 Critical Access and Rural Community Hospitals list. Chartis’ annual Top 100 award programs recognize outstanding performance using the Chartis Performance INDEX, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of critical access and rural hospital performance in the United States.
The UnityPoint Health affiliated Critical Access Hospitals recognized include:
- UnityPoint Health – Jones Regional Medical Center (Anamosa, IA)
- Greater Regional Medical Center (Creston, IA)
- Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County (Darlington, WI)
- UnityPoint Health – Grundy County Memorial Hospital (Grundy Center, IA)
- Loring Hospital (Sac City, IA)

Now in its 14th year, the INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Featuring a methodology utilizing publicly available data, the INDEX is leveraged nationwide by rural hospitals, health systems with rural affiliates, hospital associations, and state offices of rural health to measure and monitor performance across a variety of areas impacting hospital operations and finance.
