Yes, for Virtual Urgent Care visits a MyUnityPoint account is required.

What Is the difference between Virtual Urgent Care and a Scheduled Virtual Visit?
A Scheduled Virtual Visit is an appointment with your UnityPoint Health primary care provider or specialist that's scheduled in advance — like a regular in-person appointment. These visits should be arranged by calling your provider's office. Once it is time for your appointment, you can start your visit by going to your MyUnityPoint account. If you do not have an account, you may request to have a link sent to you via text or email. Don't have a provider? Find a location near you to establish care with a UnityPoint Health provide
Are there age requirements for virtual care?

Virtual urgent care is available to individuals ages 2 and older in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and South Dakota. Some conditions are not treated for certain age groups. Please see the commonly treated conditions list for more information.

Does a parent/legal guardian have to supervise a child using virtual care?
Yes. Virtual urgent care only treats select conditions for individuals 2-17. Those conditions, outlined in the FAQ, require a parent/legal guardian be present to consent to the visit and any course of treatment. Please note: conditions that do not require parental supervision, such as sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy, must be evaluated in person at a clinic.
