Biography
Why did you choose to go into your field? I chose oncology nursing 16 years ago, because of the ability to form long-term connections and relationships with patients and their families. I continue to choose oncology, and now specifically cancer genetics, because of the rapid advancements in the field and the demand to stay up-to-date in my knowledge and skills.
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients? I am passionate about ensuring patients have education and understanding to make informed decisions. I will work to find the optimal solution that supports my patients’ wishes.
What drives/motivates you each day? Cancer patients are faced with some of the most significant challenges and complexities in healthcare. I am driven to be my best each day to provide support and reduce their burden.
What is the most important message you would like to share with your patients? Approach a cancer diagnosis with a day-to-day mentality and know that your cancer team is with you at every step in the journey.
