Biography

Why did you become a physician/provider? I became a pediatric nurse practitioner because I love helping children and enjoy working with families as a team to ensure their child receives the best care possible. I love learning about healthcare and enjoy providing education on what I have learned to children and their families so that they can make the best medical decisions.
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients? I strive to provide evidence-based care for all my patients. I know that each child is unique and want to provide high-quality care that is specific to that child, which includes listening to families and working as a team, as they know their child best.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day? I am motivated by the impact that I can make in a child’s life and ensuring that every child has access to the best care possible.
What is the most important message you would like to share with your patients? What would you like your patients to know about you? As a pediatric nurse practitioner, my goal is for you to leave the clinic feeling heard, informed and confident in your child’s plan of care.
Are there any fun facts that you would like the community to know about you? I have lived in Iowa my entire life. I grew up in southern Iowa, went to school at the University of Iowa and currently reside in the Cedar Rapids area with my husband and two dogs.
Personal Interests: My hobbies include spending time with family and our dogs, hiking and traveling.
