I became a genetic counselor because I wanted a position that allowed me to the time to sit down and really get to know my patients and to empower them to make their own informed decisions.The decision to pursue genetic testing is a personal one and not one that can be made for you. My role is to provide the information and support you need to make the best decision for you.
