Biography
Dr. Brennaman recently joined the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Luke’s Hospital as a Health Psychologist and Postdoctoral Fellow. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology at the University of Georgia. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling at Georgia State University, and is a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC). Her doctorate degree is in Counseling Psychology from the University of Iowa and she completed her clinical internship at Nebraska Medicine with specializations in primary care and health psychology.
Dr. Brennaman’s clinical interests includes providing evidence-based psychological interventions to patients suffering from mental health concerns that are exacerbated by physical health issues and vice versa. She provides consultation and brief treatment services to patients hospitalized for acute rehabilitation, as well as inpatient and outpatient services to patients experiencing chronic pain and who are having difficulty adjusting to changes in physical health and functioning. Dr. Brennaman also enjoys working with hospital systems and hospital staff to improve patient outcomes.
