Biography
Why did you become a physician/provider?
After more than 10 years in nursing, I wanted to take my care to the next level because I am passionate about making a difference in people's lives.
As a provider, what is your medical philosophy?
I'm commited to patient-centered care, treating every patient as if they were my family.
What type of care/clinic interests are you most passionate about?
Wounds, family medicine and long-term care
Why did you choose your specialty?
I've always had a special interest in wounds. With the right treatment plan, treating wounds allows me to actually see an area improving right before my eyes. I love the variety of patients and stories wound care brings.
What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients?
Honest, evidenced-based and compassionate. I believe patients and providers are a team. When I'm with my patients, I'm actively engaged and listening to seek an understanding of their perspective in order for us to work together. If I don't know the answer to something, I'll never just guess. I'll find the best answer with the resources I have.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
The privilege of meeting new people and making a positive impact in their lives, even in the toughest situations.
What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
I want to be that "safe space" and provide a sense of hope for people as we work through prevention and treatment plans together. I want my patients to know they're never alone.
