Biography
Why did you become a physician/provider?
I became a Physician Assistant to help care for patients in rural communities and to encourage others to live healthier lives.
As a provider, what is your medical philosophy?
My medical philosophy is to create a positive relationship with my patients to understand their way of life and better care for their medical needs. I believe educating patients about their health leads to better patient care and trust between patients and providers.
What type of care/clinical interests are you most passionate about?
I am interested in dermatologic conditions and their treatments. These conditions can be visible and greatly affect a patient's life, and so I care about helping my patients live their best life while managing their skin conditions.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose dermatology because I understand the impact skin conditions can have on patients, and it makes me happy to see the positive changes my care can make.
What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients?
The care I provide will be patient-centered, respectful, empathetic, and compassionate. I believe that
the relationship between provider and patient is incredibly important and helps build trust between them. I also value education and ensuring that patients know the 'why' behind their condition and treatments.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
My motivation each day is to learn about different skin conditions, investigate new treatments, and continue to grow relationships with both patients and coworkers.
What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
I believe continuing education is important and will always be staying up-to-date, learning new and innovative ways to treat dermatologic conditions. I do my best to make each patient feel heard and cared for.
treating skin cancer, acne, hair loss, rosacea, psoriasis, and many other skin conditions.
