Biography

I'm an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle. I enjoy seeing a variety of conditions, including ligament instability/rupture and flatfoot and cavovarus foot problems, tendon repair or transfer, and arthritis. My goal is to individualize care where both the patient and I can work on the best way to return them to the activities they enjoy doing.

Why did you become a provider?
I've played sports most of my life and needed the service of an orthopedic surgeon. Because of the great care and great rapport during our visits, I chose orthopedic surgery as a profession.

Why did you decide to join UPH?
It was a great opportunity to work with great people in a unique organization.

Medical specialties or special interests:
I do complex foot and ankle reconstructions. I'm also interested in Lisfranc injuries – if missed, they can lead to arthritis.

Describe your average patient:
It's someone who injured themselves (either an acute or chronic problem), and nw they're unable to do the activities they enjoy.

What would your patients say about you?
That I listen well and explain things in an easy-to-understand way without a lot of medical jargon.

What's the most important thing to know about you?
I'll listen to you, and we can come up with the best plan to get you back to the activities you enjoy.

Like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and playing ice hockey and snowboarding.
