Biography

Why did you become a physician/provider?
Ever since I was young, I had a strong interest in health care. Following nursing school, I knew that with more education I could have a greater impact on the patients I encounter. Helping others feel well has always been and continues to be very rewarding.

As a provider, what is your medical philosophy?
My medical philosophy is to provide patient-centered, collaborative and evidence-based care to help patients achieve their medical goals and improve their quality of life.

What type of care/clinic interests are you most passionate about?
I’m passionate about anything and everything cardiac-related. From risk reduction to heart disease management and heart failure treatment. I have also developed a passion for caring for patients with simple and complex peripheral vascular disease.

Why did you choose your specialty?
I chose cardiology because I’ve always been fascinated by the pathophysiology of the heart. The function of the heart is very intriguing.

What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients?
The care I provide my patients can be described as comprehensive, evidence-based and patient centered. I provide this care by being compassionate and personable toward each and every patient I encounter.

Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
As a healthcare provider, seeing patients achieve symptom control motivates me every day. It's especially true when patients do so by taking an interest and strive to make lifestyle modifications to improve their cardiovascular health.

What's the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
I want patients to know I’m here to listen and help them determine the root cause of cardiovascular conditions, as well as achieve symptom relief. I want them to know I'll establish a strong patient-provider relationship and listen to their healthcare goals.

What are your personal interests?
I like spending time with my family and friends, reading and spending time outdoors.
