Biography
Heather Beister, LMHC is passionate about working with clients to help them improve their mental health and quality of life by providing supportive counseling services. She believes when people are working through difficult emotions or trying to overcome struggle, they're looking for guidance and support from someone who can help them make sense of what's going on inside their heads and hearts—someone who will listen without judgement but also help them figure out what they need along with the next steps to take. That's why Heather loves her job: each day is different, and every client brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Heather follows utilize Rogerian therapy, also known as Person-centered therapy, or client-based therapy, that employs a non-authoritative approach that allows clients to take more of a lead in sessions such that, in the process, they discover their own solutions. She also draws upon CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Solution focused and more if needed.
