Biography
Heather became a therapist in order to help people make positive changes within themselves and their families. She says, “I always striveto provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for my patients. I want patients to feel at ease, to know they can be open and honest about their circumstances and that they will be listened to without judgment.”
Heather works with patients to identify their therapeutic goals and provides feedback and new ideas to help them achieve those goals. “I understand that starting therapy can be full of uncertainty and want to assure my patients that I will take the time to get to know them and their needs and allow the therapeutic process to go at their pace. I am motivated each day by seeing my patients make progress towards their goals and towards a healthier and happier life.”
Heather received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount Mercy College and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa.
