Biography

Professional Statement: I believe strongly in listening to my patients and involving them in their own healthcare. I practice by discussing options with patients and allowing them to be a part of the decision-making process. When patients are involved in their own healthcare, we see happier and healthier patients.

Why did you become a provider? I became a PA to be the provider I needed while growing up. I want my patients to feel comfortable bringing up any concerns and to always trust that I care about their wellbeing.

Describe your average patient: The beauty of family medicine is there is no average patient. I see patients from birth through end-of-life. Each day and each patient are different.

What would your patients say about you? Patients have always told me I have a way of making them feel at ease. My patients feel comfortable bringing up any concerns - even topics they may have avoided in the past.

What is the most important thing patients should know about you? I take pride in making my patients feel comfortable and heard. We may not always be able to solve every problem in a single visit, but they should feel understood and know I will work hard to help them reach their health goals.

What is the ideal provider/patient relationship: Open, collaborative and trusting.

What is your medical philosophy? I believe in improving patients' overall quality of life. This could include using medications and therapies, as well as making lifestyle modifications. All of these are important parts in a patient's overall wellbeing.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time you will usually find me reading, crafting/painting and spending time with my dog. I foster dogs for local shelters and work hard to get them healthy and happy so we can find them a loving, new home.

Do you have any ties to the region? I grew up in Marion and graduated from Marion High School. After leaving the area for 10 years, I found myself ready to come back to where it all began.

Procedures: Skin biopsies, joint injections, incision and drainage procedures, laceration repairs, general wound care.
