Biography
Why did you become a physician/provider?
It's a great way to connect and build relationships with people while being continually challenged with scientific innovation. I've always found medicine a fascinating intersection between people and scientific discovery.
As a provider, what is your medical philosophy?
I aim to treat individuals as a whole and not just view them as a patient. Medicine is more involved than just a patient and doctor. It requires a multi-disciplinary team and help of family and friends to provide the best care.
What type of care/clinical interests are you most passionate about?
I am most interested in hospital medicine and staying up-to-date on new treatments and procedures.
Why did you choose your specialty?
I decided to become a hospitalist because I value the relationships I've built with patients during times when they've been the most ill. It's a rewarding field to be able to treat someone to recovery and help them along during difficult times.
What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients?
I am diligent and focused. I strive to pay attention to details, but not miss the big picture.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
The challenge of keeping up with how fast medicine changes and being able to provide the best and most comprehensive care for patients.
What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
I want patients to know that they can sit down and tell their story to me. I hope they feel they are given time and a voice in their care.
