Biography

Kathleen Pressoir, DO, is a dedicated cardiologist with a decade of invaluable experience. She is thrilled to bring her expertise to patients in rural Iowa. Dr. Pressoir believes in patient autonomy and patient-centered care, meeting individuals where they are in their health journey – without judgment.

As Dr. Pressoir says, “We all have just one life to live, and my hope is that you live it abundantly.”

Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Pressoir completed three years of internal medicine training. Dr. Pressoir then earned her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Pressoir’s love for travel led her to Loma Linda University in sunny California, where she served as Chief Resident for Quality and Patient Safety – a federally funded program. In this role, she trained internal medicine residents in implementing programs to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction at veterans’ hospitals across the country.

Her passion for providing the highest level of care propelled her decision to subspecialize in cardiovascular medicine. She completed her cardiology fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ – one of the few quaternary care, or highest level of care, hospitals in the country that specializes in cardiovascular care for a diverse patient population. During her time at Deborah, she collaborated with colleagues on research projects, presented at national conferences, won poster competitions and contributed to the publication of a manuscript.

In addition to her medical degree, she holds a Master’s in Public Health and board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology.
