Biography
Dr. Lynn K. Struck is a board-certified neurologist. She is fellowship-trained in movement disorders.
Dr. Struck grew up in Iowa. She graduated from Drake University Summa Cum Laude. She then earned her medical degree and completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Iowa. During medical school, she was given the honor of an outstanding Senior Neurology student and was appointed as chief resident of neurology.
Dr. Struck is expertly trained in the use of botulinum toxins, all movement disorders, and deep brain stimulation (DBS). She was a clinical investigator involved in getting DBS FDA-approved. She has served as a clinical investigator for almost 50 clinical trials. She has published journal articles and spoken at multiple conferences.
Dr. Struck is the medical director of the American Parkinson Disease Association, Iowa Chapter. Also, she has served as the first female president of the Polk County Medical Society.
Dr. Struck strongly believes in a patient-centered environment. She and her excellent staff provide patient care comprehensively and compassionately.
In addition to caring for her patients, she enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling. Exercise is a priority and she encourages her patients also in this regard.
