Biography

As a dedicated nurse practitioner, I'm committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that emphasizes holistic health and wellness. I enjoy helping patients maintain or achieve a healthy lifestyle in a comforting and safe environment. 

Why did you become a provider?
I became a provider because I'm passionate about continuously learning and professional development, actively seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills, while creating life-long relationships with my patients and their families. 
 
Why did you decide to join UPH?
I've been a part of UnityPoint Health in some capacity since 2018. I started out as a patient care technician before continuing to further my education. I've worked in Des Moines at Blank Children's Hospital, where I started my nursing career as a NICU nurse. I then transitioned to Allen Hospital, where I worked as a pediatric nurse, before becoming an ARNP. I've continuously chosen to stay with UnityPoint because it has been my home from the start.           

What would your patients say about you?
Previous patients would say that I'm energetic, care-free, approachable, understanding and extremely passionate about my work. I treat each patient like my family member and strive to provide them with the care I would give to my own family members. 

Most important thing to know about you?
I consider the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects to help provide the best patient experience.
 
Ideal provider/patient relationship:
I want life-long relationships with my patients. I enjoy going through all the stages of life with them, whether good or bad. 

What do you like to do in your free time?
Going on walks, finding new coffee shops and listening to live music.      

Tell us about your family.
I have a wonderful, loving husband named Wyatt, with one daughter at home. We have two golden retriever fur babies named Murphy and Charolais!
