Biography
Why did you become a provider? Growing up in a family with many medical professionals, health and medicine have always been a passion of mine. Finding a profession where I could work with people was very important. Practicing as a nurse practitioner allows me to positively impact peoples' lives through medicine.
What is the most important thing to know about you? My goal is to use education, patient-driven goals and evidence-based medicine to facilitate and guide treatment options. I believe healthcare decisions require a team-approach with patients.
How would you descripe the ideal provider/patient relationship? The ideal provider/patient relationship is one where patients see me as a resource in their healthcare decision-making process. I want interactions and decisions to feel like a collaboration between team members.
What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy bicycling, going to concerts and boating on the Mississippi River. I am also a big Iowa Hawkeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan!
