Biography
Why did you become a physician/provider? I enjoy learning and applying my knowledge to help people. This led to my research in physics and biomechanics, medical school and lifelong professor.
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients? I will go far beyond what is expected to solve the patient’s problem, spending the extra time needed for each patient. As a professor, I explain the problems and solution in terms they will understand.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day? Formulating solutions to new problems. Meeting patients on their terms to understand their problems and come up with a plan.
What is the most important message you would like to share with your patients? What would you like your patients to know about you? As an academic researcher, I have knowledge of cutting-edge work in medicine and orthopedics. My passion is to use this knowledge to help my patients.
Are there any fun facts that you would like the community to know about you? I farm and have lots of tractors and steam engines. We also have a National Historic Site grist mill, and I serve as a fire fighter/EMT, have my own church and volunteer a lot!
