S Ejaz Husain, FACS, MD

Biography

Dr. S. Ejaz Husain received his medical degree with honors from Brown University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine and then went on to complete advanced training with a surgical fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery.  Following his two-year fellowship, Dr. Husain was invited to stay on as faculty at Baylor College of Medicine where he taught Anterior Segment and Refractive Surgery.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners as well as a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Pan American Association of Ophthalmology, American College of Eye Surgeons, American Medical Association and the Iowa Medical Society. He is the recipient of the prestigious Paul Kayser scholarship awarded by the Pan American Association of Ophthalmology for Refractive Surgery. Dr. Husain has also achieved the highest level of distinction in his field as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Husain has been involved in laser vision correction since 1994. He has authored over twenty research articles in leading peer-reviewed medical journals.  He is certified to perform Custom LASIK, Custom Advanced Surface Ablation (Flap free laser vision correction) and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Husain performs Refractive Surgery, Lifestyle Cataract Lens Surgery and Laser Vision Correction.
