Biography
Professional Statement:
I'm an experienced urgent care provider with a vast variety of medical knowledge and experience providing compassionate care to patients in need. I possess excellent clinical judgment with a commitment to delivering the highest quality of care.
Why did you become a provider?
I love learning, and I felt that it was time to utilize my nursing experience and take my career to the next level. I believe in working with the patient instead of dictating the patient's care. I believe that caring and trusting relationships have better outcomes.
Why did you decide to join UPH?
Anytime I have visited a UPH facility, everyone has seemed genuinely happy in their position. This gave me the feeling the company cares for its employees. I'm a firm believer that happy employees equal happy patients.
Medical Specialties or Special Interests:
None other than urgent care! I've been in the medical field for 25 years, the past nine in the ER setting as a RN. I believe this is beneficial to the urgent care setting.
Describe your average patient:
Acutely ill patients – those with sore throats, earaches, minor sprains and strains, broken bones and urinary tract infections.
What would your patients say about you?
I think they would say that I'm personable and easy to talk to.
Most important thing to know about you:
I may be a newer provider, but I have been in the medical field for 25 years. I don't know everything, but I'm not affraid to admit or ask when I do not know.
Ideal provider/patient relationship:
The patient and provider working together as a team.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love adventures! I enjoy traveling near and far, seeing new places and experiencing new things.
Tell us about your family:
I have three adult children, Zac, Zoey and Zayah. I have two grandchildren, Aria and Knox. My son and grandchildren live in southern Kansas. I also have furbabes – two golden doodles and a mini bernedoodle (supposted to be my daughter's).
