Patient-centered care with a primary focus on independence and mobility

The UnityPoint Clinic Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation department addresses the function of the whole patient, not simply focusing on one single area. Dr. Chad Stadsvold treats a variety of musculoskeletal and nervous system conditions and is committed to helping people recover from things like musculoskeletal/spinal pain, neurological conditions (such as spinal cord injury, brain injury, and stroke), amputation, or simply to focus on overall health. Sometimes it can be to help adjust to life after a musculoskeletal or neurological injury.

Often times, focusing on a healthy lifestyle is a mainstay of his treatment. Discussions on healthy weight, improving nutrition, sleep, reducing stress, and exercise are common topics he may discuss with you. Treatments might also include prescription medications, vitamins or supplements, referring to therapy, or sometimes ordering interventional injections for diagnosis and treatment. The idea of improving quality of life will always remain at the forefront of each of your visits.
