Donna Fischer, MNM
Director of Development
Annual Giving, Transformational Giving, Planned Giving
Like many people in fundraising, I fell into this career somewhat accidentally. I started in a support position at a hospital foundation and discovered a career path well-suited to my personal values focused on building relationships and contributing to the greater good. Throughout my career I have been inspired by many compassionate and generous people, like you, who truly want to make a difference and it is my personal mission to help you impact healthcare in our rural region of central Iowa in a way most meaningful to you.
I grew up on a farm south of Lynnville, lived most of my adult life in New Jersey, and returned to Iowa in 2021 to accept this position at the GRMC Foundation. When I’m not spending time connecting with my family and friends (here and in New Jersey), I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and a variety of crafts – one of which is designing and handcrafting nearly 100 Christmas cards each year to send to my friends and relatives.
