Shawn Morrow
Market President, UnityPoint Health – Quad Cities
Shawn Morrow is the Market President for UnityPoint Health – Quad Cities which includes all operations for UnityPoint Health – Trinity locations in the Quad Cities and Muscatine. Shawn is a proven leader with decades of healthcare transformation experience, including expertise navigating multistate complexities, driving value for health systems, and championing strong cultures of wellbeing. Prior to joining UnityPoint Health, Shawn spent 9 years as a CEO for Intermountain Health where he initiated strategies to improve care delivery, grow revenues and reduce costs.
Shawn received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and his Master of Business Administration from Murray State University in Kentucky. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Keeven holds a bachelors from St. Ambrose University and a medical degree from St. Louis University. He performed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
He is a proud graduate of the UnityPoint Health Physician Leadership Academy.
Mary Macumber-Schmidt
President, Trinity Health Foundation
Mary’s professional experience includes co-chairing the Iowa Department of Human Services Public/Private Partnership Committee and serving on various Kaizen events as a representative of the child welfare private sector. Mary’s commitment to and focus on “best practices” is further evidenced by more than 10 years serving as a volunteer Peer Reviewer for the Council of Accreditation (COA). Mary’s experience includes leading efforts to create and implement formal affiliations and a merger between two not-for-profit organizations while maintaining and successfully leading two COA re-accreditation cycles.
Mary serves as Secretary on the EveryChild Board of Directors (formerly known as Child Abuse Council). She is also Board Chair of Ecumenical Housing Development Group (EHDG) and serves on the Board of Directors for YWCA and the Bettendorf Rotary. Mary facilitates the QC Chamber of Commerce Senior Leadership Roundtable and is a member of Bettendorf Rotary and Founder of Lead(h)er.
Mary obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Master of Criminal Justice, emphasis on business from St. Ambrose University. Mary has served St. Ambrose University as an adjunct instructor in the Master of Organizational Leadership
(MOL) and Criminal Justice programs.
Mary and her husband, Brian, reside in Bettendorf, Iowa and have two sons: Jake and Sam.

Katie’s expertise has guided system affiliations and integrations, joint-venture developments, market share increases, and Trinity’s two-time recognition as one of the 100 Top Hospitals nationwide.
Pearson came to UnityPoint Health - Trinity in 2006 following ten years in the managed care industry at John Deere Health Care in Moline, IL. She is known for her expertise in strategic planning, new business development, post-merger integrations, project leadership, and payer strategy.
Pearson received her Bachelor of Science in Health Planning and Administration from the University of Illinois, and both her Masters in Hospital and Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. She has served as a Board Member for both Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley and Family Resources and continues to serve on the Family Resources Governance Committee. She is a current Board member of Memorial Hospital in Carthage, IL. She serves on numerous health care related boards, including Advanced Imaging Center, Metro MRI, and Quad City Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Tracy Poelvoorde, PhD

Dr. Poelvoorde received her Master of Science with a specialty in Nursing Education from Idaho State University and her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Education from University of Northern Colorado.
As a practicing nurse, Dr. Poelvoorde specialized in pediatric, newborn, intensive care and neonatal life flight nursing. As an educator and administrator in higher education, Dr. Poelvoorde’s research interest centers on the transition experience of new nurses as they enter the profession.

Barb received her Bachelor of Science from Loyola University, and a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School. In addition, she completed a Master of Human Resources from Keller Graduate School and a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix. Barb is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has presented nationally on best practices in patient throughput.
Barb has a proven track record of leading successful initiatives, producing exceptional outcomes and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Barb is an avid animal activist and owner of Barb’s Precious Rescue in Palatine, Illinois.
