UnityPoint Health to Open PACE Senior Care in Quad Cities

UnityPoint Health celebrates the opening of its second Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) site in Iowa.

UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care – Bettendorf, operated by UnityPoint Clinic, opens this fall at 2119 Kimberly Road, Bettendorf. The new UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care – Bettendorf includes a medical clinic, day center, therapy gym and other amenities under one roof.

UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care helps participants live as independently and healthy as possible in their home and within the community. As the only program of its kind in the Quad Cities area, UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care provides a unique opportunity for seniors to work with a team of PACE professionals that are committed to their health and well-being.

“PACE provides a holistic approach to healthcare for eligible seniors. In addition to on-site primary and specialty care, PACE offers an extensive list of services including transportation to and from our facility, medical equipment, meals, and a variety of therapy services,” said Matt Swanstrom, Executive Director of UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care. “This coordinated care helps seniors live at home for as long as safely possible.”

As a federal and state-funded program, PACE participants must meet certain medical and financial eligibility requirements. Individuals eligible for PACE must:

• Be 55 years or older
• Live in Clinton, Muscatine, or Scott counties in Iowa
• Meet Iowa’s criteria for nursing facility level of care; and
• Be able to live safely at home

UnityPoint Health PACE Senior Care - Bettendorf is a service area expansion of UnityPoint Clinic’s Siouxland PACE in Sioux City, Iowa.

UnityPoint Clinic has plans to secure additional PACE expansion sites across Iowa in the coming months.
