Physician Careers

Choose a Career That Matters
Our physicians and advanced practitioners strive to be the best for our patients. We believe in the power of working together, as one team, to ensure everyone knows just how much they matter to this world, no matter what UnityPoint Health location someone visits. Our providers act as partners in a patient’s health care journey, creating trusting and lasting relationships, so people can go from getting well to living well.
Why Choose UnityPoint Health?
Our culture sets us apart. Our team strives to work as one through four key, shared values. As a provider, you’ll work collectively to lead a care team, ensuring the best care is delivered to your patients and communities.
The benefits package, known as Total Rewards, is comprehensive and flexible. Along with the standard medical, dental, vision and 401K, we offer benefits to assist with your personal life. For example, our physician concierge program, which is sort of like an all-purpose virtual assistant, can help with the small things, so you can focus on taking care of patients and enjoying life outside of work. This unique program, along with many other benefits, makes UnityPoint Health a place where you’ll feel how truly amazing you are.
For Physicians & Providers
In addition to the benefits we offer to all employees at UnityPoint Health, we also offer an attractive compensation package and generous benefits for physicians and providers. When choosing to grow your practice in one of our strong communities and help shape the delivery of care, you’ll receive:
- Well-being support including a dedicated provider wellness service (Vital WorkLife Balance) and wellness credit
- Parental leave
- Malpractice insurance
- CME allowance and time off
- Epic training and experience
- Leadership development program
Innovation is essential to our ever-changing industry, and it’s woven into all strategic organizational plans. We’re constantly challenging ourselves to improve for our team and our patients. Among our efforts — mapping a long-term digital health strategy and strategically investing in early-stage health care companies that focus on easing provider workloads and make health care less complicated for patients.
