At UnityPoint Health, we put people first. And we start from the inside out. We care deeply about making UnityPoint Health a great place to work because our team members are the compassionate core of who we are and how we serve.

We're proud to be recognized as a Top 150 Place to Work in Healthcare by Becker's Healthcare for three years in a row. We've worked diligently to invest in team members in three key areas:

  • Team Member Empowerment – In 2021, we raised minimum pay to $15 per hour and provided all team members with COVID appreciation bonuses. We also updated our onboarding and orientation process to enhance the first impressions and experiences of new team members.Diversity Jobs - Employer Member Badge.png
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) – We have a Chief Diversity Officer to lead our enterprise DEI efforts, ensuring everyone here feels like they belong. Our employee resource groups give team members the opportunity to share experiences and discuss strategies to make UnityPoint Health a more inclusive work environment, which includes providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ team members to do and feel their best.
  • Leadership Effectiveness – UnityPoint Health offers resources around teambuilding, engagement and retention to help leaders and team members continue to grow in their careers. We also support team members through performance management, merit increases and a special You Matter Day, and we offer recognition opportunities like Honoring YOU, where leaders and team members can commend colleagues for accomplishments, big and small.
  • Career Development – Our Career Pathways program helps eligible team members further their training and transition into in-demand healthcare roles.

UnityPoint Health Benefits

The UnityPoint Health benefits package is called Total Rewards, because it’s designed to offer flexible options to fit each team member’s needs across all of life’s stages. Total Rewards is an investment in our people that goes beyond the basics of compensation and benefits to create a rewards program unique to UnityPoint Health. It creates an easier and more personal team member experience to show our team members and their family just how much they matter.

UnityPoint Health Culture

Though our facilities and teams are located in cities and rural communities throughout the Midwest, our people are united by a unique and important set of shared values. Our FOCUS Values are a part of everything we do and are the core of who we are as a health care team.

Career FAQs

Can I apply to the same position more than once?
There’s no need to submit an application for the same job more than once. If you’re curious about your application’s status, log in to your applicant profile to access your candidate dashboard. The dashboard will display the role(s) you’ve applied for and any updates on your application(s).
Can I be notified when a role I’m interested in is accepting applications?

Absolutely! Please join our Talent Community to receive emails when a career you're interested in opens for hiring.

Do I need to submit a resume?
Depending on the position, a resume may or may not be needed. We do recommend adding a resume, when possible. Your education and work history help us better understand your skills to determine if the position is right for you, or if you’d fit better in another role.
What are team member vaccine requirements?
As part of keeping our communities safe and healthy, all team members must be vaccinated for influenza and Tdap, provide proof of immunity to MMR and varicella, and be tested for tuberculosis. New hires must submit proof of vaccination or an approved exemption to begin work. If you have questions, please contact a recruiter or ask at any time during the interview process. UnityPoint Health strongly recommends that all team members receive the updated 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine.
How should I job search safely?

As you apply, make sure you’re doing so only on our secure website. We’ve received past reports of fraudulent job postings on third party websites using our name and logo. Please review guidelines from the Federal Government to make sure you’re safe while applying online.

What does Equal Opportunity mean?

We provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or genetics. In addition to federal law requirements, we comply with state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment at all our locations. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
